Could a pet groomer use scheduling software?

My friends and I are developing some scheduling software.
Basically, a customer could go online and schedule a grooming appointment for their pet.
Would this work for a pet groomer? Why or why not?

Probably not, a groomer needs to talk to the owner when making an appointment. They need to know how the owner wants the dog done and how long its been since the dog was groomed last. These factors affect how long it will take to groom the dog and ensures that the groomer will not over book.
