Was someone involved in the Collins new submarine project taking valium ?

    No, that was an elaboration based on the stresses that normally occur. Sometimes, we say that in normal corporate environments, “Such-and-such event caused a problem and it was reported to upper management. Now, my boss would rather be on an IV drip of Valium than be at work.”

    It’s that sort of thing. I have not studied the Collins Class Submarine project any closer than interpolating the contents of your questions in terms of real-world (Private Sector) experiences.

    I just have to be careful about using extravagant metaphors (or at least risque ones).
