What kind of job are you applying for? It could go along the lines of “To obtain a position in retail to further enhance my customer service skills..” etc.
Usually I put the position title as the objective, if you are apply for a specific job. If not, put something about a position in sales or at that specific organization.
Good Luck!
Hi,
Good resume and it looks like you are a great sales person! I have some ideas for you that I think will help.
The biggest thing I notice here is that you have no measurables on your resume.
So, if I am a hiring manager and looking to bring on a new sales person, and I have two resumes in front of me, one is yours and the other one starts of something like this…
Objective: Continue my “salesperson of the year” track record in a fast paced retail environment.
Then I read bullet points like:
Increased department sales by 10% over 2007.
Processed over 20 telephone orders from other stores on a weekly basis.
Selected to train 6 employess in customer services skills due to my outstanding customer service.
Received three letters of commendation from customers.
Generated customer sales in all 6 store departments.
Resolved 98% of all customer problems without assistance.
Which one do you think will capture my attention?
I realize you may not be sales person of the year, but you need to use something like that in the objective so that it catches their attention. Just speak to the employeer about what you will do for them. Make things quantifiable by using numbers and percentages, time saved…
Hope this helped!
