    1) getting latest software is staying up ahead, because many things can change or something better can come in for you, and some can fix glitches
    2) scheduling installation will guarantee you have it on your computer.

    Because it will be secure the network to prevent the hackers attacking.

    as time goes on and people use software, software developers become aware of bugs and issues that they missed. Upgrading makes a program more efficient and better (usually)

    For overall general bug fixes, etc. Also, if it’s an update for an anti-virus program, it will update the latest virus databases, so if a new virus suddenly starts lurking about, it will be able to detect it.

    Any new installation or upgrade to existing software would be considered a project and thus should have a project plan consisting of the steps to get the project completed. Part of every upgrade or installation should consist of testing, both IT and end user. Because users have other jobs they must perform, scheduling is necessary to get their time. This is just one of many reasons that installations and upgrades should be scheduled.
